After the successful completion of our Classroom Training sessions, Airventure Academy will present each attendee with a ‘Certificate of Completion.’ This certificate serves as official confirmation that the attendee has successfully fulfilled the requirements of the scheduled training course.

Why Fire Fighting Training Matters?

In aviation, the threat of onboard fires poses significant risks to the safety of passengers, crew members, and aircraft. Proper training in firefighting theory and practical techniques is essential for mitigating these risks and ensuring the safe evacuation and containment of fires in the galley, aircraft cabins, cargo holds, and other critical areas. Our training programs provide participants with the tools they need to identify fire hazards, execute emergency response procedures, and extinguish fires using appropriate firefighting equipment.

Our Training Approach

Our firefighting training courses are developed and delivered by experienced aviation fire safety specialists and firefighting instructors. Through a combination of engaging classroom instruction, we will cover potential materials hazardous for oven and microwave, include lithium battery fires, as well as other fire situations and areas. We will lead your crew trough hands-on practical exercises, realistic simulations and participants will gain practical knowledge and hands-on experience that prepares them to effectively manage onboard fires and protect lives and property.

All of our firefighting training exercises are conducted in a controlled and safe environment, ensuring the utmost safety of participants and instructors alike.

Key Components of Our Training

1. Fire Behaviour and Prevention: participants learn about the behavior of different types of fires, the factors that contribute to fire ignition and spread, and strategies for preventing fires in aircraft and aviation facilities. We provide instruction on firedetection systems, fire suppression methods, and fire prevention best practices.
2. Emergency Response Procedures: our training covers a wide range of emergency response procedures for dealing with onboard fires, including aircraft evacuation, fire containment, and communication with air traffic control and emergency response agencies. Participants learn how to assess fire severity, coordinate evacuation and firefighting efforts.
3. Firefighting Techniques and Equipment: hands-on practical exercises allow participants to gain proficiency in the operation and use of firefighting equipment, including fire extinguishers, fire containment bags, and emergency oxygen systems. Participants learn proper firefighting techniques, such as the PASS method (Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep) for using fire extinguishers, and practice deploying and operating firefighting equipment in simulated fire scenarios.
4. Crew Coordination and Communication: effective teamwork and clear communication are essential during firefighting operations. Our training emphasizes crew coordination principles, communication protocols, and leadership strategies for managing fire emergencies with confidence and professionalism.
