As of January 2025, Airventure Academy has become a new home for a “Smokey” – a EVAS Smoke displacement Mock Up created by VisionSafe created.
For the first time in Europe, Future pilots will be able to learn and to practice on an actual device entire EVAS Deployement Procedure while being in a real smoke-filled environment in the cockpit.
Pilots will benefit from a more modern training experience, helping them build the skills and confidence to handle any challenges related to smoke filled cockpit environment.
